Problem Note 41954: Performance reports give a "report could not be generated ... invalid input variables ..." error

In SAS® Model Manager, the following error message might be displayed. The message is displayed even if you have a performance data source that includes all of the input variables that are chosen when you start a performance report job:
ERROR: The report could not be generated. The invalid input variables are: XXXX
This error occurs because the performance job calculations incorrectly expect that all of the project input variables are in the performance data source. The expectation is not restricted to only the input variables on which you want to run the performance reports.
